Christ Believers Assembly (CBA) is the evangelical church
arm of Christ Believers Healing Ministry, which has over the
years created several subsidiary ministries.
CBA and these ministries all work together in harmony for the fulfillment of
God’s divine mandate and advancement of His Kingdom on earth.
CBA is more than a church. Through the reach of it Christ Believers Healing
Ministry, it is a multi-faceted organisation.
History
The vision of Christ Believers Healing Ministry was conceived by
Rev. Peace Goodey through the leadership of the Holy Spirit in 1998. Getting
started was a huge task considering the herculean nature of the vision.
The express commission was to cause positive changes in the lives of people
just like Jesus Christ did. For Rev. Goodey, the sacrifice was great because the
Lord needed her complete focus and attention to the work of the gospel.
As a successful optometrist with an enviable Victoria Island office in Lagos,
coupled with family responsibilities, the divine instruction was somewhat
difficult. However, just like the Biblical Moses, she hearkened to the call of
God which was quite express and with no further delay.
Amazingly, this unique woman of God abandoned her optometry practice as well
as her status in the profession and society to wade into full-time ministry.
Thus began the CBA journey.
Aims
The vision and commission came clear with the ultimate aim of raising men and
women for the Lord’s kingdom and depopulating the kingdom of darkness. The goal
is to reach out to the uttermost parts of the earth as ordained in Acts 1:8 just
as Jesus commissioned us his disciples.
The CBA watchword is from the book of Daniel.
DANIEL 11:32b
But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits [for
the Lord].
